Security challenges are increasing due to the mischief of grass cutters at the Rajviraj Airport in Saptari. The security challenge was added when local residents cut the wire mesh installed for airport security in places to cut grass.

"We are forced to face harassment when grass cutters secretly cut the wire mesh again and again. We repair it and they cut it again," said Dhruvaraj Shrestha, head of the Civil Aviation Office Rajviraj. "Even now, the wire mesh has been cut in 4/5 places."

'There is a danger of dogs, cats or other animals entering the airport from the place where the wire mesh is cut, it can cause problems during flight or landing,' he added, 'there is no budget to repair the wire mesh frequently, even though the security police are monitoring, the cutting of the wire mesh has not stopped.' They have been doing everything from drying clothes to washing dishes in the airport premises. "The house is in a private land, but they have made a road towards the airport by cutting wire mesh," said Chief Shrestha. "I am not aware of that matter, I have not even received the letter," he said, "but if there is such a problem, I will take initiative." Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal also said that no information has been received about the cutting of the tarpaulin at the airport. "Keeping in mind the security sensitivity of the airport, a team of security personnel has been placed under the leadership of Sai of the Nepal Police," he said.
