The deadlock in the Madhesh State Assembly, which was blocked by the MPs demanding the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee, has come to an end, saying that the plan for the financial year 081-082 has been sold on commission.
At the all-party meeting held on Friday at the initiative of Speaker Ramchandra Mandal, it was agreed that the relevant ministers will give answers in the state assembly meeting on March 27 and if the answer is not satisfactory, a parliamentary inquiry committee will be formed. Maoist state MP Yuvraj Bhattarai, who participated in the meeting, informed that the deadlock in the state assembly has ended after the all-party meeting was agreed upon.
Alleging that the ministers of the Madhesh state government have sold the scheme by taking commission, the opposition party Jaspa, Maoist and CPN(S) and other small parties did not allow the meeting of the state assembly to proceed. The leader of the ruling party LOSPA and state MP Upendra Mahato said that it has been agreed to allow the ministers to speak on the issue of scheme sale and budget misuse in the meeting of the state assembly.
"If the answers of the ministers are not satisfactory, it has been agreed to form a parliamentary committee for investigation," said state MP Mahato, "all parties have agreed to form a parliamentary investigation committee." Maoist MP Bhattarai said that the all-party meeting also agreed to make Prime Minister Oli's speech effective. Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh was also present in the all-party meeting.
