Police have arrested four Indians from Birgunj with brown heroin. They were arrested by the police from 16 Rajatjayanti Chowk, Birgunj Metropolitan City on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.

The joint checking team deployed from District Police Office and Enrwa Chowki arrested them while checking the vehicles and pedestrians coming from India to Nepal. 

After the incident involved in the drug case, the absconding defendant resides in Raxaul Ward No. 14, Purvi Champaran Police Station, Bharat Vihar State District. According to information that a team including 37 year-old Krishna Kumar was coming from Raxaul to Birganj, the police conducted the check. 

At that time, while stopping and checking the black Scorpio car numbered BR 06 DE 0007, two bags of brown heroin were found hidden in a black plastic bag covered with a carpet in the rear trunk of the car. A total of 220 grams of heroin was found in one bag and 120 grams in the other bag.

The 3 others arrested are 38-year-old Sudhir Kumar of Bharat Vihar Raxaul Ward No-13, 48-year-old Amit Kumar and 27-year-old Raja Kumar of Raxaul Gram Siswa-1, a driver.

Parsa Police Spokesman DSP Kishore Lamsal informed that on Thursday, Parsa District Court extended permission for five days against those arrested for drug-related offences.
