A demonstration was held in Rajviraj on Saturday against the death of a journalist and the attack on a media house during the violent demonstration of the royalists.

Journalists working in various media have demonstrated under the leadership of Saptari, Federation of Nepalese Journalists. They demonstrated with placards with slogans such as prosecute the killers of journalists, maintain freedom of the press, and end anarchy.  After the

demonstration, in a corner meeting held at Neta Chowk, branch president Shravan Kumar Dev paid tribute to the late journalist Suresh Rajak and demanded a guarantee of professional safety for journalists.

Rajaka, a journalist working at Avenues Television, died when a building in Tinkune was set on fire during Rajawadi's demonstration on Friday. The protestors also attacked Kantipur Television and other offices.
