One person died and one person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Saptari.

On Wednesday night, a motorcycle number 2-02-016 P 125 located in Badgama, Kanchanrup Municipality-10 of the district under the East-West Highway went out of control and met with an accident. 

The Chief Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that the driver, 27-year-old Vikram Banjara of Kanchanrup Municipality-12 Rupnagar, died in the motorcycle accident while going from Bhardah to Kanchanpur.

According to him, Banjara, who was seriously injured in the accident, died this morning during treatment at Nobel Hospital Biratnagar. 34-year-old Santosh Isar of Rupni rural municipality-4 of the district was seriously injured in the accident. He is being treated at the same hospital, police said, adding that further investigation is underway into the accident.
