Even 5/6 percent do not trust RPP, they don't show their anger that they need a king: Home Minister Lekhi

Rajkumar Lekhi, Minister of Home, Communications and Law of the Madhesh State Government, has said that monarchy is not possible in Nepal under any circumstances. This was said by Minister Lekhi at a seminar on ethics of journalism held in Lahan on Thursday.

He says that the proof that the current system is excellent is the votes cast by the people in the elections. 'The present system is the best system,' he said, 'RPPs are in politics with the agenda of monarchy, but 5-6 percent of the citizens do not believe, so they do not show any anger.'

He says that during the autocratic monarchy in the country, the king's followers were able to do whatever they wanted, and now they are not able to do so, so they spread rumors about the monarchy under the guise of civil discontent. He said that the people themselves have brought achievements such as federalism, inclusiveness, and proportional election system through self-sacrificing struggle and there is no one against it.

'The country was once ruled by one clan, now the people's children are ruling the country,' he said, 'This system and the constitution have ensured the participation of all the citizens of the country, so there is no one against this system.'

However, the writer insisted that the parties need to be honest and move forward as there is chaos and unrest in the country. He said that journalists should confidently write about disturbances and irregularities and this will strengthen the system.
