Barama police arrested four people with one and a half quintal of ganja on Wednesday. They were arrested while setting up a warehouse to take the ganja produced in Chure area of Makwanpur and Bara to India.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit said that the police seized ganja from the road of Dudhaura river in Auraha, Jitpur Simra sub-metropolitan city-4 and they were taken into custody. According to him, 42-year-old Buddha Ghalan of Jitpursimra 22 Chakri, 36-year-old Nandkishore Sahni of Ward 8, 28-year-old Bir Bahadur Damba and 27-year-old Somlal Pakhrin of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-15 Ratomate were arrested.
He said that on the basis of a special information, they were being arrested and further investigation was being carried out while they were carrying them on their heads through the river road towards Jitpur Simra. A joint team of the Simra police office and the Narcotics Control Bureau branch office Birganj arrested them and recovered the marijuana.
