In 8 houses of Chinnamasta rural municipality-4 Lalapatti, stoves were not lit on Tuesday night. However, on Tuesday morning, all the eight houses here were destroyed by fire. Not only the grain and clothes were burnt, but also the cooking utensils were burnt and in the evening they filled their stomachs by eating rice. Fire victim Devnarayan Pandit said, 'Rice was provided as a relief. But we could not cook and eat because there were no utensils.
On Tuesday morning, all the eight houses here were burnt down due to an electrical short. 70-year-old Jugeshwar Pandit (Kumhal) was in Sirah's house with his 65-year-old wife Palasdevi when he heard the news of the house burning on Tuesday morning. He reached there for the treatment of his wife and rushed back to the village after hearing the news of the fire. He said, 'When I arrived, all the property had been burnt.' Jugeshwar said that clothes, bed and bed were all burnt along with 15,000 rupees which he had taken on loan for treatment.
On Tuesday evening, the rural municipality provided Tripal to the victims. Vidyanand Chowdhury, chairman of the rural municipality, said, "We have provided tripal, chalam, dal, salt, and oil." The fire victims said that even though they had food, they spent the night eating mutton. Jugeshwar said, 'Now the problem of how to remove the fire and how to get it will be added.'
According to the district police office, two buffaloes and a buffalo were burnt to death in the fire, while clothes, grain leaves, furniture, dishes, mobile phones, gold and silver were also burnt and the police said that there was a loss of 1.8 million rupees.
