A causeway has been constructed on the Dhamini River located in Golbazar Municipality-3 of Siraha. The municipality built a causeway on the river with the help of the labour-intensive public works development program.
According to the municipality, 15 lakh rupees have been spent on the construction of the causeway. Locals donated labor in the construction of this bridge built through the consumer committee. The construction of the bridge was completed in 18-20 days, said local Nar Bahadur.
Locals have been suffering for a long time due to the lack of a bridge in this river. "We used to feel uncivilized," says Ale, "we had to experience conditions of confinement in the village during the rainy season."
However, with the construction of a bridge over the river, the locals of Golamuksar have become comfortable. Shyam Kumar Shrestha, head of Golamuksar, said that there are around 100 families living in Golamuksar.
