The regular hearing of the murder case of Musafir Jha and Geetadevi Jha of Pipra Sahodwa in Mahottari has been postponed.
The regular hearing of the murder case was being held in the district court on Thursday. While the debate was being held on behalf of the accused, the bench no. Judge Phaneswari Ghimir of 6 stopped the debate in the middle and adjourned the hearing.
Judge Ghimire and court staff arrived at Jha's house on Wednesday and the hearing was adjourned as the lawyers doubted the conversation. Manish Jha, the son of the deceased, said that on the third day of the debate, the judge stopped the debate because some documents were yet to be seen.
'It is starting to be suspected that the activities that have been going on in the court for two days will not get justice,' Manish said, 'When Judge Ghimere came home and said that there was no evidence in the missile of Indian citizen Harendra Thakur, the main planner of the murder, there is a suspicion that there may have been financial manipulation.' He said that the suspicion has increased due to the fact that he appeared 5 times in a row on the 6th, and the appearance of the accused was moved when he appeared in another court.
Uddhav Chhetri argued on behalf of the victim, while advocates Devendra Thakur Nirala, Ramesh Pandey, Ghanshyam Sharma, Gautam Bhattarai and Hem Karki argued on behalf of the accused.
On February 11, 2077, Jha couple from Pipra rural municipality-5 Sahodwa were kidnapped. On the 12th of Chaitra, near the culvert on the Pipra-Matihani road section, their bodies were found rotting in a sack. The police arrested 9 people involved in the murder and prosecuted them. 72-year-old Tejnarayan Jha, Anshu Jha, Kailash Jha, Rambabu Yadav, Surendra Yadav, Rajindra Yadav, Taradevi Jha, Bablu Jha and Indian citizen Harendra Thakur were arrested on the charge of murder. Among the accused, Kailash, Harendra and Rambabu are in prison for the purpose.
Taradevi Jha was released by the district court on May 16, 2078 on bail of 2 lakhs. Anshu Jha was also released on 50,000 bail. Janakpur High Court released Bablu Jha on 2 lakh Surendra Yadav and Rajindra Yadav on 5/5 lakh bail on January 4.
