Kantipur's Darchula Correspondent Manoj Badu Gotame has been honored with the Journalism Gold Medal. Journalist Gopalchandra Gautam Pratishthan Virgunj honored journalist Badu during a program organized on Friday.

The foundation has been honoring a journalist who has been doing active journalism in Mofasal with a gold medal of one tola of gold every year. 

Constituent Assembly member Anil Kumar Rungta and president of the foundation Jagdish Prasad Sharma distributed the medal to journalist Badu. Rungta, a member of the Constituent Assembly, opined that journalism should be made clean and transparent. Journalist Chandra Kishore remembered late journalist Gautam's honest journalism towards the nation and society. 

Journalist Badu has been working in Darchula for 12 years.
