Mayor Bechan Das of Videh municipality has threatened to shoot administrative officer Dipendra Kumar Sah in front of the police.
Chief Das threatened to shoot Sah, the administrative officer who had been beaten up by Ram Bhajan Das, the son of the municipal head, in the office when the teacher who had been recommended by the Education Service Commission was brought to appear. He said that the chief administrative officer Sah, who had complained to the district police office, was called to the office on Tuesday by the city chief's son Das, who abused and beat her in the office when the teacher was brought to court on Monday.
'After being insecure in the office, the city chief Das threatened to shoot in front of the policemen assigned to protect him from the district police office Dhanusha,' Administrative Officer Sah said, 'The city chief threatened to shoot when he tried to take action after the beating.'
The district police and district administration have been asked for peace and security after the mayor threatened. Officer Sah appeared in Videh municipality on January 2 and took charge. Sah alleged that since he came to the office, he has been threatening, swearing and abusing.
