Naveen Kumar Yadav, Mayor of Sirha Municipality, complained that his own party did not pay attention to the justice of his martyred father. He made this complaint at the 21st memorial meeting organized by CPN-UML, Siraha on Sunday at the headquarters.
He complained that even though his party UML went to the government several times, he always got only assurances that those responsible for the murder of his father Hemnarayan Yadav would be punished. He said that his family has become more sad because they have not received justice so far.
'What the UML leaders had promised in the past after the murder of my father, even after 21 years of the incident, it has not been fulfilled yet,' he said, 'I want to express my sorrow for this as a martyr's family, I am disappointed.'
He also questioned the central leaders of UML as to why the culprits have not been prosecuted even though there is a UML government from the state to the center.
Mayor Yadav's father Hemnarayan Yadav was kidnapped and killed on 19th January 2061. He was elected MP from Siraha in 2056.
