The Prison Management Department has given instructions to implement the investigation report of the Siraha Prison incident. The department has given such instructions to the district administration office, Siraha.
The director general of the department, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, informed that the chief district officer of Siraha, Vasudev Dahal, was asked to implement the report and send it to the department as well.
'I called on Wednesday and told them to implement the report and send it to us as well,' Bhattarai told Kantipur, 'now it will be implemented soon, we will not delay, believe me.'
Similarly, Bhattarai has said that the report will not be made public and only its main topics will be made public. 'Everything inside the prison cannot be made public,' he said, 'the main thing we give you.'
This directive came from the department after news from Kantipur that the Sirha administration is covering up the incident even though the DSP-led committee of Nepal Police formed to investigate the Sirha prison incident submitted its report a month ago.
