A young man died on Tuesday night when his motorcycle fell into a pothole dug to place a hump pipe in Parsa's Sakhuwaprasauni rural municipality-2 Jamunia. Another young man was seriously injured.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Sudarshan Chaudhary, a resident of Jamunia. According to Ela Police Office Patervasugauli, the motorcycle accident occurred in a pit dug for placing hume pipe on the road of Karbola Chowk in Jamunia.

On Tuesday at 9 o'clock in the night, while going from Pathraiya to Panchgaon, two persons riding a motorcycle numbered No. 28 P 3819 fell into a ditch along with the motorcycle. Surdshan Chaudhary, who was sitting on the back of the motorcycle, died during treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Birganj, police said. Police Inspector Prakash Thapa informed that 24-year-old Dipendra Choudhary of Jamunia, who was injured in the accident, is being treated at the hospital. The hospital said that his condition is improving.
