Due to growing winter, 3 days holiday has been given to community and institutional schools under Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality.

The Education Department of Birganj Metropolitan Municipality has given a holiday from December 24 to 26 due to the adverse effect on the health of the students due to the growing winter on Tuesday.

Hari Raut, the official of the Education Division, said that a notification has been issued to suspend the work related to teaching in the school, to resume the administrative work of the school for three days, excluding the summer holidays, and to provide an environment for students to study at home.

The life here has been affected by cold waves and storms. Senior citizens and children are more affected as the winter progresses. Birganj Metropolitan Municipality has also made arrangements to burn firewood in various squares of the city to protect it from the cold.
