The Laguvitta Sangharsh Samiti has again started protesting in Mahottari saying that the agreement between the government and the Laguvitta Sangharsh Samiti has not been implemented.

Shilam Yadav, Chairman of Microfinance and Financial Federal Committee, Mahottari, said that the microfinance institutions started putting pressure on the borrowers and started auctioning the mortgages.

She said that the 1000 microfinance victims in the district have started receiving mortgage auction letters and the complaints are increasing from the microfinance staff going to their homes and putting pressure on them.

In the agreement between the government and the Laguvitta Sangharsh Committee last March, the borrowers' principal interest, fees, fines, blacklisting and mortgage release, rehabilitation of the victims and loan waiver of the real victims who have no basis to pay the loan (injured, disabled, chronically ill) etc. It was mentioned that a working group will be formed with the participation of three representatives of the agitating parties and experts from the relevant fields to submit a report within 60 days after starting the work with options for solutions. .
