Pradeep Jaiswal, former chairman of Parsa's Sakhuwaprasauni rural municipality and leader of Janata Samajwadi Party, joined the UML party on Sunday. Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli himself was present at the large party entry program held at Auraha in Sakhuwaprasouni to admit Jaiswal and his group into the party. There is criticism on social media now that petrol coupons were distributed to go to the event.
In the videos and pictures that are spreading on social networks, a crowd of people pouring petrol can be seen at a petrol pump at Bahuarwa Chowk located in Bindwasini Rural Municipality-2. Vindwasini rural municipality UML worker Ramesh Shah said that two liters of petrol is free for those who go to the party program. He claimed that the news of the party program had been received the day before the program and that he knew that there was an arrangement of free petrol coupons in the morning before the program. Regarding the distribution of petrol coupons at the rate of two liters per person to increase the number of participants in the
program, UML Parsa Secretary Mahesh Das said that 'cost management was not done by the party'. Gambhira Sah, chairman of UML's Bindwasini rural municipality committee, said that the village committee had arranged oil for the workers going to the program. "The number is not certain," he said. He did not want to say for sure about the expenses. District leaders of UML claimed that 5,000 people joined the UML after abandoning various parties in the program attended by President and Prime Minister Oli.
District level leaders of UML Parsa do not want to talk about the distribution of petrol to increase the number of workers. In a conversation with Kantipur, a district level leader said, "Each party's general meeting costs money to manage the workers who come from far and wide." Rather, some workers who are far away from the venue have been given such a facility.'
