Traffic awareness classes in 23 schools in Bardiwas

Traffic awareness classes will be conducted for 4,770 students studying at secondary level in Bardiwas municipality of Mahottari.

District Traffic Police Office, Mahottari, in coordination with Bardiwas Municipality, is going to conduct a traffic awareness campaign until the month of January, the traffic police said. Head of District Traffic Office Mahottari Lakshmiraj Joshi said that a campaign has been started to conduct awareness classes about traffic rules and road safety for students studying in 23 secondary schools of Bardiwas.

Due to the same campaign of the traffic police, the police said that there has been a decrease in traffic accidents in the district this year. Joshi informed that there were 230 accidents till November of the last financial year and 176 incidents in the current financial year. 

With the aim of making traffic management easier and safer in the society, Joshi said that the campaign has been started to prevent accidents caused by violation of traffic rules, empower drivers, pedestrians and other road users, encourage responsible and disciplined road behavior, and provide information about traffic rules.&nbsp ; According to the traffic police, a total of 5,070 road users including students, public representatives, parents, teachers and employees will benefit from the

campaign.
