A famous Indian gangster has been arrested from Siraha. The police arrested Arif Hussain, an Indian citizen, alias Arif Khan, from Dasgaja area of ​​Sirha Municipality-17 Madar.

Arif was arrested at 4 o'clock in the morning on Saturday with injuries on various parts of his body including hands and feet, according to District Police Office, Siraha. According to the police, he was absconding as a defendant in cases of banditry, robbery and organized crime in various parts of India including Nepal.

Siraha Police Spokesman DSP Birendra Paswan said that he is also a defendant in the robbery incident that took place on May 16, 2080 at the branch of NMB Bank located in Mahottari rural municipality-2 in Mahottari district. An armed group of 5 people looted 38 lakhs from that branch, brandishing pistols.

Similarly, on February 10, 2079, he was also a defendant in the incident of showing a pistol to an employee of Global IME Bank who was carrying money at Bataha Bridge in Mirchaiya Municipality Ward No. 3 of Siraha, and robbed him of 9 lakh rupees, according to the police.
