Police arrested 1 person on Saturday with 60 kg of silver worth 1 crore 2 lakhs. 36-year-old Karma Sah Sonar Chandi of district Bara Kalaiya sub-metropolitan city-5 Ghusukpur was arrested along with a scooty.
According to DSP Prakash Sapkota, Police Spokesperson of the District Police Office, one person was arrested along with the silver recovered from Jitpursimra sub-metropolitan city-21 Amlekhganj of Pathalaiya-Hetaunda road section. He said that when the scooty No. 03-005 P 326 of Wagmati Pradesh, which was going to Hetaunda from Birgunj, was stopped and checked, silver was recovered by making a false bottom at the foot of the scooty. DSP Sapkota said that further investigation is underway.
Sai Tek Bahadur Karki's team of Amlekhganj area police office recovered the silver. Based on the information given by Suraki, the police said that Sonar was arrested along with the seized silver.
