Locals have said that the identities of the two women buried in the landslide will be confirmed only after their rescue. A police team led by Senior Sub-Inspector Subin Shah of the Area Police Office, Powang, along with locals, has reached the incident site.
District Police Office spokesperson Inspector RB Chand said that police who reached the site are carrying out rescue operations. A police team including Inspector Anil Chaudhary, in-charge of the Area Police Office, Sulichaur, has also reached the incident site.
