In Lumbini Province, the Congress is also preparing to withdraw the support it has given to the government and recall the ministers participating in the government. The Congress has called a meeting of the parliamentary party of the Lumbini Province Assembly on Thursday afternoon. The Congress has stated that it is preparing to make both the decisions on ministers and withdrawal of support simultaneously in the meeting.

The Congress-UML is the main ruling partner party in Lumbini. Chet Narayan Acharya of the UML was appointed Chief Minister on 2081 Shrawan 7 with the support of the Congress, the LOSPA, and the JSP.

Even if the Congress falls into a minority after withdrawing support, the UML has indicated that it will not leave power immediately. After the Congress withdraws support, the UML will try to share power with the NCP in the first phase. In the event of an agreement with the NCP, the UML, including the LOSPA, which is currently a member of the government, will be able to continue the government.

The situation may arise that the UML will have to leave the government only if the NCP decides to partner with the Congress. There are currently only 83 members in the 87-member Lumbini Provincial Assembly. Of these, 29 are from UML, 27 from Congress and 13 from NCP. One of the 13 members of NCP is the Speaker.

The support of 42 members is required to run the government. Therefore, the LSP, which has three members of the provincial assembly, may decide between the two big parties in forming the government, the LSP and LSP, or the RPP, which has four members. However, since LSP is still in the government, it may be everyone's choice.

Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary said that a decision may be made to resign the minister and withdraw support from the government at the parliamentary party meeting to be held today (Thursday) afternoon. 'It has not been decided what to do yet, but it seems that the decision to recall the minister will be made according to the decision of the center,' he said. 'We will decide in the same meeting whether to continue support or withdraw support.'

He said that the meeting was held in the afternoon keeping in mind the time of their return as three ministers in the government are in Kathmandu. There are 5 ministers in the government from the Nepali Congress in Lumbini. Minister for Economic Affairs Dhanendra Karki, Minister for Urban Development and Drinking Water Saroj Thapa (Rose), Minister for Social Development Janmajya Timilsina, Minister for Industry, Tourism and Transport Prachanda Bikram Neupane and Minister for Forest and Environment Devkaran Prasad Kalwar. Among them, Dhanendra Karki, Rose Rana, Janmajya Timilsina are returning from Kathmandu on Thursday. Prachanda Bikram Neupane returned to Deukhuri only on Wednesday.

Lumbini Province Nepali Congress President Amar Singh Pun said that the process of resigning and withdrawing support from the party in the province has progressed and the parliamentary party meeting will decide.

‘The minister’s resignation and withdrawal of support will probably happen today,’ he said, ‘after that, according to the agreement reached at the center, a decision will be made on whether to form a government with the support of other parties or remain in the opposition.’ He said that it may take some time to start the process for forming a government.

The NCP, which has become a strong force for Lumbini’s power partners, has stated that it will wait for the center’s decision and only then decide which party to discuss with. NCP’s Lumbini Province Coordinator Sudarshan Baral said that no decision or formal discussion will be started immediately, but that informal dialogue will continue.

‘We are in informal discussions,’ he said, ‘However, there is no situation to hold formal discussions immediately.’ He said that efforts will be made to unite the communist power as much as possible and that the decision made at the center should be followed, so the center’s decision should be awaited. He also claimed that Lumbini Province will take an appropriate decision after considering the situation.
