The water level in the Narayani River has risen sharply due to continuous rain. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, 227 milliliters of rainfall was recorded at the Narayani Field Office Hydrometry Center at 9:30 pm on Monday. Similarly, 191 milliliters of rainfall was recorded in the Dumkibas area of East Nawalparasi. All these measurements are the highest this year.
Heavy rainfall has been occurring in various places in East Nawalparasi and adjoining Chitwan since Monday evening.
