The meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Lumbini Provincial Government has decided to withdraw the bill to amend the Act on Facilities for Local Level Office Bearers and Members, 2076, from the Provincial Assembly.

The meeting, held on Wednesday at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, made this decision. 

Government spokesperson and Minister for Health Ramji Prasad Ghimire said that the decision was made to withdraw from the Provincial Assembly the bill to amend the Act on Facilities for Local Level Office Bearers and Members, 2076. The bill had been registered in the Provincial Assembly on 16 Jestha 2083.

Similarly, the meeting also approved the proposal to inform the Lumbini Provincial Assembly Secretariat about the contents of the letter received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

Spokesperson Ghimire also informed that the government has decided to initiate the process to appoint a member to the vacant post in the Provincial Planning Commission.
