Shringa Primary Health Center in Chhatrakot Rural Municipality has been upgraded to a five-bed Chhatrakot Basic Hospital. Due to delays in land acquisition and complicated procedures in the 15-bed municipal hospital structure, the municipality has upgraded it to a five-bed hospital and started services in the initial phase.

The five-bed basic hospital will now provide 24-hour emergency services, OPD, maternity services, lab, X-ray, ECG, vaccination, dental services, and pharmacy. Shringa Primary Health Center has now become Chhatrakot Basic Hospital due to its ability to provide basic services, said the hospital's head, Dr. Narayan Nyaypane, medical officer.

According to Shyamsundar Pokharel, head of the rural municipality health branch, the hospital will provide more effective services as the municipality's basic hospital. He also said that the hospital will now provide services 24 hours a day.

Chief Administrative Officer Rajan Pandey said that the local government will coordinate with the provincial and federal governments to provide all basic health services, make them more quality and more sophisticated, and make health services more effective.

Rural Municipality Chairman Ram Prasad Pandey said that there has been a delay due to the cumbersome process under the program to build a municipal hospital at the local level. 'We were thinking of building a municipal hospital from the beginning and providing services,' he said, 'We could not start the structure of the municipality due to many problems, so we have succeeded in upgrading the primary health center and building a municipal hospital.' He also said that the process of building a municipal hospital will not be stopped. He claims that with the start of the service, more quality and effective service will be provided.
