An illegal loaded gun has been found abandoned in Madi Rural Municipality-1, Bhitawang of the district. According to the Area Police Office, Ghartigaun, the gun was found hidden under the bushes on the roadside on Friday afternoon.

After receiving information from the locals, a police team deployed under the command of Police Inspector Gopal Prasad Shrestha recovered the weapon. The found loaded gun was recovered along with a certificate and sent to the District Police Office for necessary investigation, according to the Area Police Office, Ghartigaun.

Further investigation is underway regarding the incident, said District Police Office Chief Pranav Panch Kumar Bakhu. Immediately after Pranav Bakhu came to the responsibility of the police chief, an intensive search was started for drug control, security vigilance and illegal weapons.

Police had previously found two loaded guns here. According to Rolpa Police, two loaded guns were found hidden in the Salleri Pakha Community Forest Area in Sunilsmriti Rural Municipality-6, Gargare on Wednesday afternoon. The two loaded guns, each with a barrel attached to a ceiling made of wood and iron, were recovered by the police in an abandoned state.
