Police have taken 5 drivers under control for driving under the influence of drugs in West Nawalparasi.

The District Police Office and the Traffic Police are preparing to take them under control and file a case after they were found to have passed out during a joint test for drunkenness and drug use.

According to DSP Madan Thapa of the District Police Office, Parasi, 5 of the 30 drivers were tested and found to have consumed drugs.

The driver was tested on the Bhairahawa-Parasi road section. The driver was found to have been driving under the influence of drugs after passengers and the police came to know about it.

The police have said that the risk of accidents due to driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving has increased.
