Pratappur Rural Municipality in West Nawalparasi has declared a two-day school holiday due to the extreme heat. The holiday was given considering the health of children due to the scorching sun and hot winds.
Rural Municipality Chairman Umesh Chandra Yadav has issued a notice informing that it has been decided to declare a holiday for all educational institutions within the municipality on Asad 4 and 5.
The rural municipality has stated that the holiday is due to the difficulty of walking outside during the day and the extreme heat due to the zinc roofs in some schools.
The district headquarters Parasi and its surrounding areas have been affected by the hot winds and heat for the past few days. Other municipalities in the district are also preparing to declare a holiday.
