A problematic leopard was taken under control from the Krishnasar Conservation Area on Friday morning. The leopard had entered the cage kept for control.

The leopard that was taken under control is an adult female, said Ramu KC, ranger of the Krishnasar Conservation Area. In the past, leopards used to enter the cowsheds near the Krishnasar and the conservation area and kill cows and bulls.

It is estimated that there are 3/4 leopards in the community forest near the conservation area. 11 people have lost their lives in wild animal attacks in Bardiya since last Shrawan. Ram Gopal Chaudhary, senior forest officer of the Division Forest Office, Bardiya, said that 11 people have died in the same period, including 8 from leopards, 2 from tigers and 1 from elephants. 7 problematic leopards have been taken under control in the last 11 months.
