An agreement has been signed between Nepal Sanskrit University and India's Banaras Hindu University for the exchange of academic knowledge.
Madhav Adhikari, Secretary General of Sanskrit University, Tikaram Budha, Executive Director of the Cultural Studies Center, and Rajaram Shukla, Dean of the Faculty of Sanskrit Studies and Theology, Banaras Hindu University, have signed the agreement.
An agreement was exchanged in Beljhundi, Dang on Tuesday to cooperate and collaborate in various studies and research works between the two universities. Sudhan Kumar Poudel, Vice-Chancellor of Sanskrit University, said that the agreement will help in contributing to the promotion of Sanskrit education by working together in Sanskrit education as well as various other academic works.
Sanskrit University has previously collaborated in studies and research by signing agreements with various universities in India, said Adhikari, Registrar of Sanskrit University. Shukla, Dean of Banaras Hindu University, said that this agreement will facilitate the use of the knowledge resources available in the universities of the two countries.
