Hari Shrestha has been elected as the president of the Gulmi branch of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP). Shrestha defeated his rival Mahesh GC in the first district convention held late on Saturday.

Hari Shrestha has won the post of President of the National Independent Party (RSP) Gulmi. Shrestha defeated his rival Mahesh GC in the first historic convention of the district held late on Saturday.
Shrestha won by getting 118 votes while his rival Mahesh GC got 113 votes, informed Ashok Tandon, the elected coordinator of the RSP Central Agriculture Department.
Similarly, Pragati Rana Magar has won the post of Vice President. He got 127 votes. His rival Nishesh Shrestha got 91 votes. Bharat Pokharel, who was the candidate for the post of Vice President, got 14 votes.
Devraj Pandey won the post of Secretary by getting 189 votes. His rival Neeraj Marasini got 40 votes. In addition, Genji Sagar Pandey was elected unopposed as Joint Secretary. He is Genji.
Maya GC, Debika Rana, Prem Bahadur Sunar, Bhagwat Giri, Diksha Bhandari, Asim Bhandari and Tulsa Pokharel have been elected as the committee members who will be nominated later for the post of treasurer. Voting was also held among the members.
National Independent Party Secretariat Member MP Sagar Dhakal, MP Govinda Panthi and Shraddha Kunwar participated in the open and closed sessions on Saturday.
