Khajura Rural Municipality of Banke has canceled the contract agreements of construction contractors who did not complete the project work on time. Khajura Rural Municipality Chief Administrative Officer Dil Bahadur Poudel said that the contract agreements of five projects were canceled because the progress of the construction work was not satisfactory, there was no improvement even after a long time, and the construction contractors were not moving towards completing the work.
According to him, all five contract agreements made with Aman Construction of Gulariya-5 for the construction work of projects in various wards of the rural municipality have been canceled. A contract agreement was signed with Aman Construction on Falgun 12, 2077 to blacktop about 500 meters of road in Khajura-4 F village.
Although the company had agreed to complete the construction work by Jestha 30, 2078, the work has not been completed yet. Under the project, which was called for separate contracts in two parts, the road has become dilapidated again due to the failure to blacktop.
The plans for the construction of the road and drain from NIC Bank to Manakamana, the upgrading of the road from Gopal Singh Ale's house to Lal Bahadur Rajali's house, and the upgrading of the road from Bigau No. 90 to No. 105, which were awarded to Aman Construction, have also been incomplete for years.
The municipality has decided to cancel all these five contracts. All the contracts belong to Aman Construction. Chief Administrative Officer Poudel said that the municipality issued a public notice on November 2 stating that the progress of the construction work was not satisfactory, that there was no improvement even after a long time, and that the construction business was not taking any steps towards completing the work, and why not cancel the contract and put it on the blacklist.
