Women of the district are preparing to join the movement under the name of Mahila Manch. They informed through a press conference on Thursday that they will join the movement in phases from Friday.

On 20th Jestha, while ISMA Rural Municipality Vice-Chairperson Advocate Parbati Kunwar was returning from a satsang program, a group tried to stop the vehicle and threatened the driver and the team. A complaint has also been filed with the police in this regard.

However, the District Police Office has not taken any further action regarding this incident. Due to this, women's associations and organizations of Gulmi are preparing to join the movement under the name of Mahila Manch, saying that they are trying to erase the incident so much.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Mahila Manch Gulmi leader Laxmi Pantha Pandey said that the police administration ignored the treatment she received because she was a female public representative and the complaint she had filed as a female victim.

Similarly, women's leader Lalita Gautam said that the issue of women's humiliation was being ignored so much that she had to take up the movement. She said that action should be taken against the culprits, but not even making the two sides a topic of general discussion means that women as a whole feel humiliated, so she had to move towards a strong movement.

Women's leader Geeta Thapa has urged unity in the movement and demanded that the culprits be brought to justice immediately.
