What is fate? Riya Burma, 16, of Kapilvastu Municipality-1, Malatol, who was using a TikTok ID named ‘Waiting for Death’, has died after being bitten by a snake.
She had been using her TikTok ID as ‘Waiting for Death’ on the social media platform. Fate truly led her to death. On Wednesday midnight, a venomous snake entered her house. It wrapped itself around her legs and bit her in three places. Doctors have said that the bite of that snake was the cause of Riya’s death. 
After being bitten by the snake, her parents immediately took her to Kapilvastu Hospital in Taulihawa, the district headquarters. Even though she was taken to the Snake Bite Treatment Center in Gorusinghe for further treatment, she could not be saved.
The only child of the family, Riya, had just passed SEE from Tauleshwarnath Sanskrit Secondary School and was preparing to study in class 11. Why did she name her ID ‘Waiting for Death’? Was it just a tragic coincidence? Or something else – it is still in the womb. The Burmese couple is now in a daze due to the pain of losing their only child.
