Two people have died in Tulsipur after being hit by a tipper. A father and son riding a motorcycle died when a tipper (Ra 1 Kha 2192) hit a motorcycle (Ra 4 Pa 3390) at Gulma Chowk on Monday morning, said District Police Spokesperson DSP Resham Bohora.
The deceased are Manoj Nepali, 35, of Lamahi Municipality-5, and his 5-year-old son Mirans Nepali, who were riding the motorcycle, he said.
The father and son, who were seriously injured in the accident, were referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment after initial treatment at the Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur. While their son Mirans was being taken to Nepalgunj for treatment, he died on the way and while his father Manoj was being treated in Nepalgunj.
Police said that the wife of the deceased Manoj, 34, Anusa, who was riding the motorcycle, was injured and was discharged after treatment.
DSP Bohora said that the investigation has been started after taking the tipper and driver Sher Bahadur Thapa under control.
