The rural municipality has constructed a 27-meter-long bailey bridge with a budget of Rs 15 million, Chief Administrative Officer Dhruv BK informed. ‘In the past, due to the lack of a bridge on this road section, there was difficulty in commuting and movement, and traffic used to stop during the rainy season. Now, with the construction of the bridge, this problem has been solved to a large extent,’ he said, ‘This has brought ease to the daily lives of the people here and has also made it easier to go to the tourist village Maikot.’
In addition, the municipality has stated that construction work is underway on two more bailey bridges on the Sanibheri River to connect Ward No. 6 Dimmurgaira and 9 Kharabang, and on the Uttarganga River to connect Ward No. 10 and Ward No. 11 Shera.
