An Indian tourist who went missing after drowning in the Tinau River in Palpa three days ago was found dead on Friday. Saurabh Rastovi, 22, a resident of Siddharthnagar Naugadh, Uttar Pradesh, India, went missing near the headbox at Dobhan Damside, Tinau Rural Municipality-3.
Saurabh, one of the five people who had come in a group on Wednesday, drowned while swimming. His body was found 50 meters below the drowning spot. A team from the local Dobhan Police Post, Armed Police Force, and local residents also conducted a search operation around the area where the Indian tourist drowned.
After learning that he had gone missing, local residents and a team from the Dobhan Police Post joined the search operation, but he was found dead only on Wednesday, Superintendent of Police Dipendra Panjiyar Tharu said.
