The Lumbini Provincial Council of Ministers meeting has approved the annual policy program.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya on Friday decided to approve the annual policy program for the upcoming fiscal year 2083084, said government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives Dinesh Panthi.

The government is preparing to present the policy program in the provincial assembly meeting on Jestha 11.

The meeting has decided to assign the responsibility of Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to Nita Pokharel Aryal. Similarly, it has also decided to appoint Engineer Chhabi Raj Pokharel as the Chief Executive Officer of the Provincial Infrastructure Development Authority. Pokharel was also the head of the authority before this. However, after the appointment period ended, the government had decided to appoint the Chief Executive through open competition.

Seven people had applied in the open competition called by the government. The government had shortlisted five people. Out of the five competitors, the recommendation committee has recommended three names in order of merit. Government spokesperson Panthi said that it has been decided to appoint Pokharel, who is the first in line among them.
