A corruption case has been filed against Nayab Subba Om Bahadur Khamcha, working at the Land Revenue Office, Bhairahawa.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority filed a case against him in a special court on Monday, alleging that he took a bribe of Rs 200,000 from a service recipient, said Suresh Neupane, spokesperson of the commission.

According to spokesperson Neupane, a complaint was filed with the commission alleging that Khamcha had demanded a bribe from a service recipient for the purpose of establishing a new title deed and transferring the land.

During the investigation, a team deployed from the Butwal office of the commission arrested Khamcha on Baisakh 4 with a bribe of Rs 200,000 taken from a service recipient.  During further investigation, it was confirmed that Khamcha had taken a bribe from a service recipient for establishing a dilapidated title deed and transferring the land to a person who did not have a title deed, according to a statement issued by spokesperson Neupane.  The commission has filed a case against him, demanding imprisonment and a fine as per the amount.
