CPN-UML West Nawalparasi District Secretary Dheeraj Sharma Basyal has announced that he has left the UML party.
Sharma, who is also the former mayor of Bardaghat Municipality, has written a letter to the UML District President stating that he has abandoned all responsibilities and is no longer even an ordinary member of the party.
In his resignation letter, District Secretary Sharma stated that he has left the party to move forward while preserving self-respect, ideological integrity and political values. Sharma was inactive in the party after the last parliamentary election.
