This year's SEE results in Lumbini Province have been poor compared to last year. Last year, 62.6 percent of students passed, while this year 61.57 percent of students passed.
According to Dor Bahadur Basnet, Senior Statistics Officer and Information Officer of the Education and Social Development Directorate of Lumbini Province, this year 44,041 students from Lumbini Province have passed out of 71,528 students who participated in the exam. He said that 27,467 students have failed. There has been an improvement in the results of community schools in most districts.
According to the directorate, 200 students from Lumbini Province have scored 4 GPA in this year's SEE. The highest number of them is 82 from Rupandehi. Then 26/26 from Dang and Banke, 16/16 from Palpa and West Nawalparasi have scored 4 GPA. 11 students from Kapilvastu, 10 from Bardiya, 7 from Arghakhanchi, 6 from Gulmi and 2 from Pyuthan have also achieved 4 GPA.

The results of other community schools in Rupandehi, Kanti, Shanti Namuna, Navin Industrial Kadar Bahadur Rita Secondary School, have also been weak. 4 students from Kanti and only 1 each from Navin and Shanti have achieved 4 GPA. The results of the famous private schools in Rupandehi have also been weak this year. 11 students from Oxford Secondary School in Rupandehi have achieved 4 GPA. 7 students from Deep Boarding and 6 from Paramount have managed to get 4 GPA. Only 4 students from the renowned New Horizon have managed to get 4 GPA this year. Basnet said that the number of schools that got zero results in both private and community schools has not been received and that a demand has been made at all local levels.
The number of students who got 3.60 to 4 GPA in Lumbini Province is 6,436. Similarly, the number of students who got 3.20 to 3.60, i.e. A, is 11,899. 14,985 students have got 2.80 to 3.20 GPA. In Lumbini Province, 38.65 percent of students passed the SEE exam in 2080 and 62.06 percent in 2081. This year, 61.57 percent have passed.
