The Division Forest Office has taken control of a female leopard that entered a corn field near Shailahaphata Phata, Barbardiya Municipality-1. The locals had informed the forest administration that the leopard was visiting villages and corn fields every day.
Senior Assistant Forest Officer Ram Gopal Chaudhary of the Division Forest Office, Bardiya said that the leopard was taken into control after tireless efforts. One forest guard was slightly injured while taking control of the leopard.
Senior Assistant Forest Officer Chaudhary said that since last Shrawan, 11 people have been killed by leopards in Bardiya. During the same period, 15 people have been injured in leopard attacks. The Division Forest Office, Bardiya has taken control of 8 problematic leopards since last Shrawan. Of these, 2 leopards have died due to injuries.
