Vijayanagar Rural Municipality was declared a fully vaccinated local level on Wednesday. Earlier, Buddhabhumi, Banganga and Maharajgunj Municipalities and Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality in the district have been declared fully vaccinated local levels.

Five local levels in the district have been declared fully vaccinated local levels. With the formal declaration of Vijayanagar Rural Municipality as a fully vaccinated local level on Wednesday, the number has reached five.
Vijayanagar Rural Municipality Chairman Gopal Bahadur Thapa said that the fully vaccinated local level was declared after 1,119 children under one year of age and 1,562 children aged 6 to 23 months were fully vaccinated.
At the program, Lumbini Province Health Minister Khem Saru said that the fully vaccinated local level is very important for the health security of children. ‘The vaccination program has contributed greatly to reducing child mortality,’ he said, ‘I am going to make the campaign more effective.’
Earlier, Buddhabhumi, Banganga and Maharajgunj municipalities and Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality in the district have been declared fully vaccinated local levels. The remaining five municipalities are also in the process of being declared, said Kedarnath Shah, the vaccination focal person at the District Health Office.
In the current fiscal year, 13 types of vaccines have been regularly provided to children from birth to 15 months. 100% vaccination has been ensured in the announced municipalities, while a campaign is being conducted to vaccinate the remaining children in the remaining local levels.
