The youth and his son, along with their mother-in-law Tilkumari Budhathoki, Devargorkha Bahadur BC, younger sister-in-law Omkumari Budhathoki, her son Sudip and their daughter Sujana Budhathoki, who had gone to Salyan after getting married, died in the accident. After Srijana's body was taken to Salyan, the remaining six bodies were kept in the morgue of the district hospital.
After the youth's husband Deepak returned home from America last night, their funeral was held today. The remaining 14 bodies were taken to the respective places and cremated last Saturday.
The youth and his family were on their way to participate in the special puja held at Jaljala in Rolpa on the day of Chandi Purnima every year on Thursday, the day before, when the vehicle had an accident before reaching Jaljala.
Only one person, Sameer Kami, survived the accident by sitting on the roof of the jeep carrying 21 people. He returned home the same day after receiving general treatment.
