The Lumbini provincial government has formally started services from its newly constructed administrative building.
Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya has started daily work at the new administrative center from Monday. Stating that the administrative center was built with the aim of strengthening the provincial level to strengthen federalism, Chief Minister Acharya said that it is a matter of pride for the people of the province.
'Among the seven provinces, Lumbini has succeeded in building the capital, naming it and building the administrative center. This has taken the province to further heights,' he said, 'We have completed the construction of the building with our own resources.'
Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Bhumishwar Dhakal informed that all ministries have been moved to the building built by the provincial government with its own investment, and said that it is a lesson for other provinces.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport were operating from separate locations. Now all these ministries will also be operated from this premises, said Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Kapri.
The provincial government had signed a contract agreement on Mangsir 28, 2079 for the administrative center, which was completed by Sharma-Sagun JV in Kathmandu. The foundation stone was laid on Falgun 3 of the same year on the occasion of the establishment day.
According to Pradeep Bhattarai, Acting Chief Engineer of the Provincial Capital Implementation Unit, 3.9 billion 29.38 million 72 thousand 72 rupees have been spent on the construction of 10 ministry buildings, including the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers. The 10 administrative centers are spread over an area of 17 bighas 19 kattas 4 dhurs.
Apart from the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, 9 other ministry buildings have been built in the same design, while the building of the Chief Minister's Office has been built in a different structure.
The 6-storey Chief Minister's Building with underground parking has been painted white. Red and white have been used in 9 other five-storey buildings. Separate lifts have been arranged in each building.
After the decision to keep the capital of Lumbini Province in Deukhuri, the provincial government shifted the ministry to the then Rapti Technical School building on Mangsir 28, 2079. The government had been operating by adding temporary floors to the old building.
