The fifth Gulmi Festival has started in Tamghas, the district headquarters of Gulmi. The agricultural, domestic and business fair has started under the fifth Gulmi Gulmi Festival-2083, which will be held until Baisakh 23, organized by the Gulmi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The
festival was inaugurated by Resunga Municipality Mayor Khildhwaj Panthi. The festival has been started with the main objective of 'Energy and prosperity of Gulmi district: Development of business based on education, health, agriculture and tourism'. The
festival is expected to attract one lakh visitors and generate financial transactions worth Rs 50 million, said Chet Narayan Pandey, General Secretary of the Gulmi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The festival will feature various stalls and presentations on the promotion and marketing of local products, agricultural produce and cottage industries, promotion of internal and external tourism, encouragement of small and medium entrepreneurs, and preservation of local art, culture, costumes and traditions, said Gulmi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mrigendra Prasad Shrestha.
The festival will feature commercial and industrial stalls from various districts, local agricultural products, handicrafts and cottage industry materials, exhibitions related to hotel and tourism promotion, a special exhibition of local cuisine, musical performances by national and local artists, and various cultural tableaus.
