The District Administration Office, Gulmi, has started delivering passports to the homes of service recipients. The administration has made arrangements to deliver passports to the homes of service recipients from Thursday by charging a prescribed fee through the District Post Office.

Chief District Officer Badrinath Gaire said that this program has been started as part of the government's governance reform program to make service delivery easy and effective. The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Chaitra 13 mentioned that government services will be provided at home in item no. 27 of the 100-point governance reform agenda.

On Thursday itself, the administration and the post office reached an understanding and sent 16 service recipients from Resunga Municipality Wards No. 11, 12 and 14 to their homes. 'We contacted the passport-bearing service recipients and paid the prescribed postal fee  After agreeing to pay, we have handed over the money to the post office,' said Gaire. 'The post office staff will contact them and hand them over to their homes today.'

Although the first meeting of the Council of Ministers made the agenda public, since no clear procedures and modalities have been received yet, the program to provide services to nearby service recipients has been started for the time being, said Pradya Gaire. 'Since it will take some time to organize the resources, starting with Resunga Municipality, the effectiveness will expand once additional resources arrive,' he said.
