CPN-UML leader Pradeep Gyawali has accused the government of being politically vindictive and propaganda-oriented from the very beginning. Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nawalpur in Kawasoti on Wednesday, leader Gyawali said that UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak were arrested in a vindictive manner. He said that although it is a political practice not to criticize the government during the 100-day honeymoon period, the government's work was vindictive and had to be criticized in the initial stage. He claimed that the current government had acted under the direction of the power center rather than according to its own plan. He said that the party was seriously reviewing the issue of UML's defeat in the elections and that it would work to find out the reasons for the defeat and strengthen the party. When asked by a journalist about the leadership change, Gyawali insisted that the entire party should be moved forward with reforms rather than just changing the leader.
