JBM Football Academy Lucknow has entered the finals of the ongoing MT Arena Khajura Gold Cup football tournament in Khajura, Banke. 

JBM defeated Gorkha Boys Sports Club Butwal by a margin of 3 goals to 1 in the first semi-final held at the Mini Stadium in Khajura-4D Village on Friday to book its place in the finals. 

Nikhil Tamang, jersey number 7 of JBM, scored the first goal for the team in the 12th minute of the match. Similarly, Suraj Bhandari, jersey number 9 of JBM, scored the second goal for the team in the 43rd minute, while Umesh Darlami, jersey number 12, scored the third goal in the 60th minute. 

Sujan Tharu, jersey number 15 of Gorkha, scored a consolation goal. After captain Sujan Magar received a red card at the beginning of the second half, JBM, reduced to 10 players, managed to maintain the lead by playing with composure.

Gorkha's jersey number 21 Umesh Thapa also received a red card towards the end of the match. JBM goalkeeper Umesh Kumar was declared the player of the match  .

The second semi-final match will be played on Saturday between Four Brothers FC and Nigerian Zone Club. The final of the tournament will be held on Sunday, informed Balaram Khatri, president of the organizer New Danfe Sports Club. 

Gorkha Boys Sports Club Butwal, Sankata FC, New Danfe Sports Club, JVM Football Academy Lucknow, Kakrebihar Club Surkhet, Four Brothers FC Nawalparasi, APF Kathmandu and Nigerian Zone Club Nigeria are participating in the tournament organized by New Danfe Sports Club.
The tournament, which is played on a knockout basis, will continue until Baisakh 6, informed Khagendra Dahal, the publicity coordinator of the tournament.  The winning team of the

competition will receive 700,000 rupees and the runner-up team will receive 400,000 rupees in cash. It is estimated that the competition will cost about 600,000 rupees.
